Class Highlights
Workout with your baby in the stroller
The class lasts about 45-60 minutes and will be adapted for an outside or inside setting, depending on weather conditions. After a general warm-up, we begin working on toning up the legs. Every push of the stroller corresponds to a specific movement in order to work out a specific muscle group.
If the class takes place in a park, this step can be alternated with moments of fast walking. Rubber bands are frequently used for working the upper part of the body while a ground station is used for the abdominals workout. Depending on the age of the baby, he or she can be taken from the stroller and placed close to his mom for the abdominal exercises.

Workout with Baby Carrier or Sling
The baby carrier is the ideal place for the baby. Close to the mum’s body and heartbeat, the little ones find the nice memory of the womb. The use of the slings has recently developed: soft, comfortable and sometimes more ergonomic than the baby carrier, they more easily adapt themselves to this hour of toning. The lesson of about 45 minutes is suitable for indoors and outdoors. Very young babies may be carried on the chest, while older children can be placed on the back of the mother. The weight of the set is the resistance with which mums’ legs work. Late in the session abdominals and stretching are performed on floormats. For these, the baby is removed from the carrier and placed on the chest or abdomen of the mother: he will certainly love the touch!

Workout during Pregnancy
FitParents during Pregnancy is a session that prepares pregnant women to the marathon of childbirth. Lessons are structured with the same natural rhythm: an intensive phase is followed by a recovery and relaxation phase on the same principle as a contraction (wave) is followed by break. It is a rhythm that repeats and teaches participants the tricks of nature, preparing the expecting mothers well. With prolonged breaths the mother can take better advantage of the space and time to recover and cope with the next contraction wave.
The lessons are creative and diverse as the feminine nature. They alternate different styles: in addition to free body exercises, variations are offered with gym balls and scarves. Gym balls are very good to support the weight of the bump and relieve sore legs. Scarfs are used including the heating automassage to activate circulation and drain fluids, in addition to being used for stretching and toning.

Last but not least, women will learn to breathe! Unlike the physiological breathing, you learn the breath of birth (apana wind in yoga). This breath is synchronised with the tonic exercise movements, helping the mum to prepare for the expulsion phase, in a fun but effective frame of mind.
FitParents pregnancy training exercises are particularly focused on mobility, pelvic opening and a fundamental muscle: the perineum, muscle of intimacy and femininity, which absorbs and retains all the deepest emotions. Connecting to this muscle means understanding and improving our well-being, in the preparation of the admirable task of motherhood.
Mothers preparing for a planned Cesarean section will particularly benefit from this course since they will reach the date being more aware and more fit.
TummyFit
The ‘gymnastique Decompréssive’ is a new approach to tone the abdominal muscles up together with the pelvic floor and in line with the whole body. It is based on a new concept: control the pressure that builds up during the exercise to effectively thin the waist, improve the posture and increase the quality of sexuality.
It is an innovative gym workout that involves all abdominal muscle layers, even the deepest ones, to redefine a flat stomach, help and correct postures of everyday life, re-educate the body to a greater awareness and tone.
The techniques used during the training provide a focused and balanced use of breathing, combined with static and dynamic body positions. This method is inspired by the ancient knowledge of yoga on Bhanda in Sanskrit ‘closure’, which means ‘contraction’.
Its effectiveness is demonstrated through the constant practice with the help of the certified instructors of FitParents.
